The former ambassador to the United Nations updated supporters on the news of DeSantis’ announcement while speaking at an event.

“I would like to say to Ron that he ran a great race, he’s been a good governor, and we wish him well.”
“Having said that — it’s now one fella and one lady left,” she added.
“All the fellas are out except this one [Trump], and this comes down to what do you want?” Haley asked supporters.
“Do you want more of the same, or do you want something new?”
DeSantis took to X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday afternoon to tell supporters that he would be suspending his campaign run as there was no “clear path to victory.”
The Florida governor quoted former United Kingdom Prime Minister Winston Churchill in his post.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts,” it read.
He also confirmed that he would endorse former President Donald Trump for the presidency rather than Haley.
DeSantis stood at 6% in the poll, just 4% below the minimum support he would need to win delegates in New Hampshire, per the Republican Party’s rules.
The U.S. Sun spoke with former White House Secretary Sean Spicer in an interview on Wednesday in which he claimed the Florida governor had “hit a brick wall” after the Iowa caucus.
“It’s hard to run as an American First candidate when Trump is still in the race to fill a role that has already been filled,” Spicer said of DeSantis.
“It was always going to be challenging to run as their heir apparent to a guy who is still running.”
Haley first announced her bid for the White House in February 2023.
She has consistently called for a new generation of leaders to emerge within the GOP ranks.
Now, Haley and Trump will go head to head on Tuesday’s caucus in New Hampshire.
“We’ve got two days until New Hampshire goes to the polls and we’re going to make sure to fight all the way until the last second,” Haley said during her event on Sunday.
“May the best woman win,” she said, closing out her statements before the crowd erupted in cheers.
